Access details: the Polar Bear Glacier, named because of its resemblence to a polar bear rug, is accessed much the same as the Organ Glacier. You can either try to get to it from South Fork Eagle River Valley, or from Eagle River Valley proper. Once in Organ Creek Valley, you must scramble up a rocky buttress to the side of the glacier. This is the same route for climbing Polar Bear Peak on the NW side. The terrain can be very dangerous, with avalanches possible in the winter, and heavy rockfall in the summer.
