We were so close to the summit

We were climbing the ridge when a bus-sized hidden cornice fell out from under Dicks right foot, luckily his left foot was on rock

My feet dangling over the edge where the cornice collapsed and fell nearly half a mile into Hanging Valley. We decided to go home at that point.
